Volcy nurtured his artistic talent, which led him to a range of discoveries and creativities. He studied at the Bob Blackburn Printmaking Workshop, where he learned additional skills under the guidance of the great artist Otto Neals. Volcy’s primary mediums are oil and acrylic. His works have exhibited in many art fairs and galleries throughout the years. A selection of his exhibitions include the United Nations, Harlem Fine Arts Show, Fulton Art Fair, Restoration Center for Art & Culture, Brooklyn Museum, Bronx Museum, Hamilton Landmark Gallery, Wilmer Jennings Gallery at Kenkeleba, and Dorsey’s Fine Art Gallery many times throughout the years. Volcy’s works appear in several books and journals such as the “Voices of Lefferts Journal”, Issue 11, “Brooklyn on My Mind: Black Visual Artists from the WPA to the Present”, and “Masterpieces of Haitian Art.”
