About Dorsey's Fine Art Gallery

History

Mr. Lawrence P. Dorsey established Dorsey's Fine Art Gallery in 1970, and it remains the oldest, continuously run Black-Owned art gallery in New York City. Mr. Dorsey was passionate about giving a voice to artists to ensure that art continues to be an integral part of the community. He created an art haven that has been supporting artists for over 50 years.

Mission

Exhibit art with a global view that challenges our world to an inclusive focus on the African diaspora.

Vision

To promote and showcase the best art from around the world. We believe in providing a platform for both emerging and experienced artists and creating a welcoming space for art enthusiasts and collectors alike.
